In this year that is now ending I (I think we all) became aware that we take nothing for granted in this passage through life, except death itself. In a year of upheavals, expectations, hopes, and fears, many were the learnings that made me look around in a different way. Nothing is as it used to be, the world as we knew it no longer exists. It was a year of reinvention for many who looked at this new reality and found a new Self, a new way of being and being in life.
In a time when we are in a vivid wheel, responding to professional, personal, family and other commitments, it is easy to let the days go by, one after the other, without actually realizing that time is slipping away from our eyes!
Throughout yesterday afternoon we had the opportunity to listen to Lúcia Ferreira, psychologist, entrepreneur, and CEO of Peças do Puzzle.
In a little more than 1 month, 3 people who were relatively close to me passed away without any prior notice. People with whom I laughed, with whom I worked, with whom I shared many moments. Good people. Young people, who left family behind. One day we are here, the next we are not.
Children are not ours, they are the world's. I have always heard it said. At this particular time, when many are leaving and others are arriving to enter the world of higher education, hugs replace the words that insist on not coming out, because goodbyes are always too painful to express. At this moment, there is a mixture of pain and joy, of nostalgia and pride, of sadness and satisfaction.
Last 10th was the World Suicide Prevention Day, and the World Health Organization revealed alarming numbers.
